Grammy Award-winning country star Lainey Wilson is headed to the big screen.

The 32-year-old singer-songwriter will make her feature film debut in the forthcoming adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2022 novel “Reminders of Him,” which is slated to hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2026.

The New York Times bestselling author shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing that Wilson would be “gracing [the movie] with her amazing presence” as the character Amy.

“Couldn’t be more excited to be your Amy!” Wilson responded in the comment section.

The “Heart Like a Truck” singer has previously dabbled in acting, playing an aspiring country singer in the fifth season of the Paramount Network’s hit neo-Western drama series “Yellowstone.”

As for “Reminders of Him,” actress Maika Monroe, known for her roles in the horror films “Watcher” (2022) and “Longlegs” (2024), will lead the cast alongside “Tell Me Lies” actor Tyriq Withers, who plays her onscreen love interest, Ledger Ward.

Directed by screenwriter Vanessa Caswill, the film also stars Lauren Graham (“Gilmore Girls”), Bradley Whitford (“The West Wing”), Rudy Pankow (“Outer Banks”), and Nicholas Duvernay (“The White Lotus”).

“Reminders of Him,” which sold more than 6.5 million copies globally, centers on a troubled young mother named Kenna Rowan, played by Monroe, who attempts to forge a relationship with her 4-year-old daughter after being released from prison.

“But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself,” a synopsis reads. “Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.”

Hoover published her first novel, “Slammed,” in January 2012 and has since written more than 20 books.

A film adaptation of her 2016 romance novel, “It Ends With Us,” premiered in theaters in August 2024 and has since grossed more than $350 million worldwide to date, per Box Office Mojo.

The movie has been embroiled in controversy after a legal dispute was waged between its leading stars, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the latter of whom also directed the film.

Adaptations of Hoover’s 2018 psychological thriller “Verity” and her 2019 novel “Regretting You” are also in development.

Last month, the author said “Regretting You” is debuting in theaters this October.

“I can’t wait to see what they’ve done with this one!” she wrote on Instagram on April 7.

“Verity” is scheduled to be released on May 15, 2026.
